TRUMP ANNOUNCES THAI-CAMBODIA CEASEFIRE AFTER BORDER CLASHES
Former U.S. President Donald J. Trump announced on his social media platform that Thailand and Cambodia have agreed to a complete ceasefire, effective this evening, to halt the recent reawakening of their long-running border conflict. Trump stated the agreement was reached following his conversation with Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul and Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet. The two leaders have agreed to revert to the original peace accord, which Trump had previously helped broker with assistance from Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim. The post noted that the initial incident involved a roadside bomb that killed and wounded numerous Thai soldiers, which prompted a strong retaliation from Thailand, but confirmed both nations are now ready for peace and continued trade.
