The Cambodian Ministry of National Defense (MoND) strongly refuted recent false reports circulated by the official Thai Army 2nd Regional Command Facebook page and subsequent Thai media outlets claiming that Cambodia was mobilizing heavy weapons along the shared border.

MoND Spokesperson Major General Mali Socheata stated that these baseless claims aim to mislead public opinion and potentially create a pretext for renewed military tension. MoND asserted that Cambodian forces have not violated any existing ceasefire agreements or joint peace declarations, and reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to fully implementing these accords and fostering close cooperation for regional peace and stability.
